Courses for Catechists and Directors of Religious Education
Supplementing our Franciscan@Home certification courses, the Institute provides additional opportunities for learning in community, whether that community meets face to face or online. These courses provide ongoing professional and spiritual formation to all those involved in teaching the faith Whether you are teaching small children, youth or adults you will benefit from these courses.

Advanced Courses in Catholic Theology
The Institute offers more academic courses for those in the Permanent Diaconate formation program and also for those pursuing the online MA through our partnership with Franciscan University of Steubenville.
Courses Fall 2021:
- What is Catholic Theology? (Ecclesial Nature and Mission of Theology) prerequisite course for online MA — also available for audit
- Diaconate Courses (enrollment limited to those in the diaconate formation program)
- Liturgical Theology
The Institute’s Canvas Learning Management System also houses professional development courses for Catholic School Teachers, Administrators and Staff developed by the Department of Education of the Diocese of Venice.
